2017 Fly Away Breakfast

For nearly forty years the Allied Gardens Optimist Club has sponsored the Fly-Away Breakfast for the students selected to attend the FFVF Spirit of America Youth Leadership Conference. The breakfast was held on March 30, 2016 at 7:00a.m. at Admiral Baker Golf Course. Many members are welcome to attend the breakfast in order to meet and talk with the students and their parents. If you missed this year, watch for next year's event here on our website!

Virginia Syverson outlines program
Many thanks to FFVF V.P. Youth Virginia Syverson for her time and hard work in planning and organizing the student's trip and their many activities.
Each of the students introduced themselves and shared with us their ambitions for their upcoming trip. It was fairly common that they hoped to meet friends from across the states and learn more about their country's history. For most it will be their first time to D.C. and for some their first time on an airplane.
